Kitchen Remodel with Brick Flooring & Custom Wine Storage | Philadelphia
The Project Story
Brick herringbone flooring and under-stair wine storage connect practical kitchen upgrades with the character of an older Philadelphia home.
Location: Philadelphia, PA. Completion date: 2024.
What the Client Wanted
The clients wanted updated cabinetry, counters and flooring, better organization and a design that retained the historic character of their home.
What We Changed
Existing cabinets and counters were replaced with custom cabinetry and upgraded surfaces. A double-tier utensil organizer uses the depth of a drawer more efficiently. Custom cherry wood wine racks turn the awkward space beneath the stairs into usable storage.
Design & Materials
Brick laid in a herringbone pattern grounds the room. Soft gray cabinetry with paneled grooves and matte black hardware balances the floor, while wood trim at the range hood echoes the existing wood ceiling.
Construction
Cabinetry, counters and flooring were replaced as part of the remodel. The drawer accessories and under-stair wine racks were fitted to the available spaces, preserving the home's character while improving everyday use.
