Rustic Modern Bathroom with Freestanding Tub | Philadelphia
The Project Story
Key Features: The homeowners envisioned a bathroom that felt both rustic and refined — a serene retreat that paired natural warmth with clean, modern finishes. Their existing space lacked the character and functionality they desired, so our team transformed the design from top to bottom.
Design Elements:
This bathroom blends rustic charm with modern sophistication. A warm wood vanity and matching floating shelves anchor the design with natural texture, while MSI crisp white quartz countertops and polished porcelain tiles provide sleek contrast. The palette of soft neutrals is accented with an arabesque patterned wall tile, adding subtle elegance and visual interest. Together, the materials and finishes create a serene, spa-like retreat. The bathroom features a luxurious Delta rain shower head and arm, promising a rejuvenating shower experience that mimics the soothing effect of a natural downpour.
Functional Improvements:
The remodel maximized efficiency by introducing ample storage through a spacious vanity and floating shelves. A walk-in shower with a rain showerhead and bench provides both comfort and practicality, while durable porcelain tile flooring ensures long-lasting performance and easy upkeep. A Delta Trinsic 24" towel bar in chrome, seamlessly blending with the other fixtures and accessories. The freestanding tub was positioned as a focal point, offering both style and functionality within the expanded layout.
Special Features:
Highlights of this remodel include the freestanding soaking tub as a centerpiece for relaxation, a rain shower system with a built-in bench, and a unique arabesque tile accent wall that adds depth and sophistication. Detailed Description
The homeowners envisioned a bathroom that felt both rustic and refined — a serene retreat that paired natural warmth with clean, modern finishes. Their existing space lacked the character and functionality they desired, so our team transformed the design from top to bottom.
A warm wood vanity and matching floating shelves became the foundation of the room, bringing texture and natural beauty. To balance these tones, crisp white quartz was chosen for the countertops, shower bench, and thresholds, creating a timeless contrast. Large-format porcelain tiles in a soft marble-look finish were installed on the floors, while the shower walls were clad in polished porcelain for added brightness. The shower floor features a hex mosaic pattern for texture and slip resistance.
The layout was enhanced with a freestanding soaking tub as the focal point, offering a spa-like atmosphere for relaxation. A walk-in shower with a rain showerhead, bench seating, and handheld fixture elevated both function and comfort. To complete the look, an arabesque accent wall introduced a soft pattern that tied the rustic and modern elements together.
The result is a high-end bathroom remodel in Philadelphia that reflects the homeowners’ vision of rustic elegance with modern conveniences. The combination of natural wood, sleek finishes, and thoughtful design choices created a cohesive space that feels both inviting and indulgent.
